Terms of Service
Last updated: July 16, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and AutoComputer, Inc., doing business as Deep Notebook (“AutoComputer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to Deep Notebook, our websites, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must promptly notify us at hello@autocomputer.ai if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account in a way that compromises the Service or another person.
3. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
You may not:
- use the Service or generated content for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or rights-infringing activity;
- upload or process content you do not have the right to use;
- probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its safeguards;
- distribute malware, scrape the Service at unreasonable volume, or use automated access outside documented APIs;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use the Service to make fully automated high-impact decisions about a person without legally required review and safeguards.
4. Your content and generated content
“Input” means prompts, files, connected-service data, instructions, and other material you submit. “Output” means reports, text, code, files, citations, and other material generated for you by the Service. Input and Output together are “Customer Content.”
You retain your rights in Input. As between you and AutoComputer, and to the extent permitted by law, you own Output generated specifically for you. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and otherwise process Customer Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
You are responsible for Customer Content and for confirming that your use of it is lawful. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or similar to content generated for others. Citations and source material may be wrong or unavailable. You must independently review Output before relying on or publishing it. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other expert advice.
Third-party material remains subject to the rights and terms of its owners. Our assignment of rights in Output does not give you rights in third-party content that may appear in Output.
5. AI providers and connected services
The Service uses third-party AI models, search services, cloud infrastructure, and integration providers to process requests. If you connect a third-party account or choose a model or tool, you authorize us to send the information reasonably necessary to that provider. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their independent acts, availability, or content. Our Privacy Policy describes current provider categories and data handling in more detail.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and automatic renewal
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions. The price, billing interval, included usage, and any trial or promotional terms are shown before purchase. By starting a paid plan, you authorize us and our billing providers to charge the payment method associated with your account, plus applicable taxes, at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
Your subscription automatically renews for successive periods of the same length unless you cancel before the next renewal date. You can cancel through Settings > Billing. Unless otherwise stated at cancellation, you keep paid access through the end of the current billing period and will not be charged for another period.
We may change plan prices or included usage prospectively. We will provide notice before a price change applies to an existing recurring subscription. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and suspend or limit paid features until payment is resolved.
7. Refunds
Except where required by law or expressly stated in a written offer, subscription charges are non-refundable and we do not provide credits for partial billing periods, unused usage, plan downgrades, or unused entitlements. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact hello@autocomputer.ai promptly. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by AutoComputer and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service. If you provide feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can cancel a paid subscription through Settings > Billing. Applicable requests concerning your personal information may be submitted as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay, misuse the Service, or if needed to protect the Service and its users. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. We may also discontinue the Service, subject to any notice or refund obligations required by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute terms, and licenses needed to complete privacy requests or legal compliance, will survive.
10. Service changes
We may add, remove, or change features and usage limits. The Service may experience interruptions, errors, or loss of functionality. We do not guarantee that every feature, provider, model, integration, or piece of Customer Content will always be available. Keep independent copies of important material.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR OUTPUT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUTOCOMPUTER AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS, SO THESE LIMITS APPLY ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AutoComputer and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own misconduct.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and each party consents to their jurisdiction and venue. If applicable law gives you mandatory rights to bring a claim elsewhere, those rights are not waived.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting a notice in the Service or emailing the address on your account. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to hello@autocomputer.ai.
